August
The Cones' first official debut was on August 8, 2025. Planning a wedding in two months was definitely challenging (would not recommend), but looking back on our wedding day, we both agree that it was the best day of our lives (highly recommend). We couldn't have wanted anything more on our big day.
After we left our wedding reception, we headed straight for a quick honeymoon up in the memorable town of Sedona. We got some delicious French crêpes in the morning and rented some e-bikes in the afternoon.
We enjoyed moving in to our first apartment in North Phoenix. We're including a picture of us at our apartment gym to make you think we go there all the time.
September
One hobby that we both picked up while in the YSA was pickleball. We discovered some outdoor courts at a local park that is always packed in the evenings. Sadly, we're not quite as good as we look, but we've been playing much better lately.
We had our first "big" trip mid-September. The Walker's had already made plans to go back to their hometown, Grand Junction, Colorado, and they were more than happy for Hayden to tag along. We got to go inside the new temple, meet up with some old friends, and enjoy some of the best Mexican food at Fiesta Guadalajara.
Upon our return, Tamison started a new job at Antigua Apparel - a logo and golf shirt company. She loves her job, learning new things, and getting to have lunch with her mom every day.
October
The hot Arizona weather finally started to dissipate, that means it's officially disc golf season. We got Tamison her first set of discs and went to Conocido Park off of 35th Ave and Bell Rd, even though we just had a rain storm the night before. It was super fun!
For Halloween, we had the brilliant idea to dress up as Carl and Ellie from Up. We went through all the trouble of painting some cardboard poster boards and blowing up balloons for our ward's Trunk or Treat event, just to have a bunch of Gen Alpha kids come up and say, ""Look Mom, it's Peppa Pig's house!" What a darn shame...
November
Our second big trip of the year came in November. Hayden had an opportunity to travel to Atlanta, GA for a cybersecurity conference and Tamison just so happened to have two days of PTO that she had to use before the end of the year, so plans were made. The trip included:
- Visiting the temple
- Touring the Braves stadium
- Multiple hot chocolate stops at Starbucks
- Eating oysters and octopus
- Visiting the aquarium
- And throwing a paper helicopter off the 47th floor of the Marriott Marquis
December
For the last several years, Tamison's side of the family has gotten tickets to go see Gentri's Christmas concert. However, this year was by far the most enjoyable... because Hayden and Danette got to tag along, of course. At one point during the show, one of the performers, Casey Elliot, came into the crowd and ended up picking Tamison to participate in the show. It was a dream come true, and much to Hayden's chagrin, Tamison has still yet to wash the sweater she wore that night.
To kick off the surprise concert for Danette, we traveled by light rail. We started at the top of the line (Metro Center) and cruised all the way over to the Mesa Arts Center. It was a memorable evening for us all.
